If you can climb the stairs all the way to the roof of Notre-Dame...then the view is definitely worth the effort...though you may end up feeling a bit like the dude above!
But it'll be worth it! Believe me!

There's Tour Saint Jacques over there to the left. |
|
Those golden trees...parfait! |
|
And there's the golden dome of the Invalides in the distance. |
|
There's little Shakespeare & Co down there! |
|
Gorgeous views...everywhere. |
|
Crazy Parisian traffic all around. |
|
And down there....the Pont des Arts....the Grand Palais....and way in the distance...La Défense. |
Paris...she's certainly an impressive city isn't she.
Easy to see why she's been the inspiration for so many books, plays, poems, films, music, artworks and blogs!
A bientot.

ReplyDeleteMerci beaucoup Sandy.
DeleteHow gorgeous. I bet you froze though! I'll never forget our climb of the Eiffel Tower. Was a slightly breezy day so you could see for miles but that also meant it was freezing. Theo couldn't feel his finger to push the camera button to take a shot and my stay up stockings kept falling as I had no heat on my legs for them to stick too. Hillarious!!!! But the view, unforgetable.
ReplyDeleteI love these posts SO SO SO much Robyn. Thanks for sharing your steps. xxxx
