Paris...Diamonds in the Sky

Look what Pierre's been up to.

Here's been braving the elements, dressed in his 100% merino wool thermals!! to take these gorgeous shots of Paris...Christmas 2012.

The Paris Christmas lights are like diamonds in the sky....streets and shops are decorated en masse with twinkling, sparkling lights glimmering as beautifully as diamonds.

We hope to have a ride on la Grande Roue (the Big Wheel) on Place de la Concorde on Christmas day....in the evening....but will our thermals be warm enough??  I guess we'll just have to snuggle up together on la Grande Roue!
All photos by Pierre.

Merci beaucoup Pierre.....j'adore Pierre!

  1. The photos are beautiful thank you, on a bit of a whim Mr F and I went to Paris for two weeks over Christmas in 08, I loved it regardless that i got a cold because we caught the Metro everywhere! Remember the huge effort required to get dressed and to get the layer right! Hilarious too having my tall frame strip off large coats in the tiniest of restaurants with everyone staring at me! Most ungainly, trying not to sweep glasses of tables! xx

    1. Know what you mean about the cold Flora!! I'm rugged up with one now!! I just can't get warm here in Paris no matter how many thermals, scarves, ponchos, sweaters, hats, gloves, boots, socks, leggings I wear!!

  4. Robyn, j'adore Pierre aussi. His bravery was well worth of all the risks taken. Fabulous shots! A night rainbow.
And don't forget vitamin C-1000 daily for your cold. (btw Garlic capsules fight the cold symptoms very effectively).
Wish you get well ASAP. And warm layers on (to the street) and off (at the restaurant and metro).
Don't worry, you'll still look chic. A long colorful scarf goes round and round, it will do?
